If you prefer public transport, hop on bus line 3 from Ibiza’s CETIS station. It runs frequently and gets you to San Rafael in around 20 minutes. The bus drops you off right in the centre, so you can start exploring as soon as you step off​​.

While the town itself isn’t known for extensive cycling or hiking trails, its central location makes it a convenient resting point for those traversing the scenic routes of Ibiza.

If you head out of San Rafael toward Santa Eulària, you’ll encounter some lovely hills that offer more challenging terrain for avid cyclists looking for a bit of adventure. These routes provide stunning views and a satisfying workout as you navigate the winding roads. Alternatively, for those who prefer a flatter ride, heading towards San Antonio offers a more leisurely track. This route is perfect for enjoying the scenery at a relaxed pace and is great for cyclists of all levels. Whether you’re seeking hills or flat tracks, the areas surrounding San Rafael provide diverse options to suit your cycling preferences but again, it’s not the best starting point of your hike or trip!

At the heart of the town lies two iconic stores that have become symbols of local craftsmanship: Can Kinoto and Cerámicas Icardi.

The well known craft market in San Rafael comes alive every Thursday from 7:00 PM to midnight in the Summer season, offering visitors a chance to explore the creative talents of Ibiza’s artisans. The  market showcases a diverse array of handmade goods, from beautifully crafted jewelry to unique ceramics and textiles.

Aside from this, expect a small supermarket and tobacco shop but that’s about it!

Amnesia is one of the oldest and most iconic nightclubs in Ibiza, located on the outskirts of San Rafael.
