Ibiza features a variety of churches that primarily reflect the Christian faith, particularly Roman Catholicism, due to the island’s historical ties to Spain and its Christian heritage. Spread around the island, a day trip to visit these churches is a great way to see the different towns and parts of the island: from the busy towns of Ibiza and San Antonio to some of the smallest towns in the north.

Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows (Catedral de Santa María de las Nieves)

The Feast of the Virgin Mary on September 8th is a great time to visit, when the church and the surrounding village burst into life with celebrations.

Arguably one of the prettiest churches on the island, Iglesia Es Cubells is a must-see for its stunning clifftop location overlooking the Mediterranean. This 19th-century rural church is a perfect example of traditional Ibizan architecture. The church grounds also feature a children’s play area, making it a great spot for families. On July 16th, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel fills this small village with joy and devotion.
