Cala Gració Beach offers golden sands, calm blue waters, and a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful day in Ibiza.
Only a stone’s throw from San Antonio, Cala Gració is one of Ibiza’s most delightful and tranquil beaches. Its crystal-clear, shallow waters and soft, sandy bottom make it an excellent spot for family outings or for those looking to relax away from the crowds at the island’s larger beaches.
This serene beach is often overlooked by tourists in favor of larger, more famous spots, meaning Cala Gració provides a peaceful retreat while still offering easy access to all the amenities in nearby San Antonio. In fact, you can walk from the busy harbour of San Antonio to this secluded cove – how about that!
How to Get to Cala Gració
Cala Gració is just 2 kilometers north of San Antonio, making it one of the easiest beaches to reach if you’re staying in the area. It’s only a 5-minute drive or a pleasant 20-minute walk from the boulevard along the beautiful coastal path. The beach is well-signposted, and whichever way you choose to travel, by car, taxi, or on foot, the route is straightforward and pretty nice, actually.
If you’re not driving around the island – and honestly, parking near Cala Gracio in summer can be a right pain – you’ll be excited to know that public transport’s got your back. There’s a handy little bus that runs from San Antonio straight to Cala Gració.
I’ve hopped on it myself loads of times, especially when I’ve had friends visiting San Antonio who didn’t fancy renting a car. The ride’s just a few minutes, tops and in high season the buses come and go fairly often, so you’re not left baking in the sun at the stop.
If you’re driving, parking is free but spaces fill up quickly during peak season, so it’s best to arrive early if you want to park close to the beach. And good to know: you can not park at the Gracioneta restaurant parking!

Who Visits Cala Gració?

Cala Gració is particularly popular with families, especially those with young children, due to its shallow waters and calm seas. The beach is small, but the soft sand and shallow water make it safe for kids to play while parents can relax nearby. Lifeguards are on duty during the high season, adding extra peace of mind for families.
This beach is also favored by locals and visitors who want to avoid the noise and crowds at San Antonio’s busier beaches like Cala Bassa or Cala Comte. Its proximity to San Antonio makes it a convenient, peaceful escape for a beach day.
While Cala Gració doesn’t have the party vibe of some other Ibiza beaches, it’s perfect for couples, families, and solo travelers looking to relax, swim in clear waters, and enjoy the natural beauty of the island.
Bars and Restaurants near Cala Gració

There’s a typical chiringuito on the beach, where you can grab a drink or a simple lunch. This is also where you’ll find the restrooms, which are basic but they do the job. The restaurant is very relaxed and laid back. Wooden chairs, simply menu but it’s all you need when you’re on the beach – promised!
More Tips for Visiting Cala Gració

Cala Gració gets busiest during the middle of the day, especially in high season. For a quieter experience, you’d better come early in the morning or later in the afternoon.
Just a short walk away, Cala Gracioneta offers an even smaller, more intimate beach experience. The two beaches are connected by a coastal path, making it easy to explore both in one visit. At Gracioneta most of the cove is used by a fancy restaurant but you can just put your towel on the public beach!
The soft sand and shallow waters make Cala Gració perfect for families with small children. Lifeguard supervision during high season adds to its family-friendly appeal, and the beach is even accessible for wheelchairs. There’s a ramp for wheelchairs (or pushchairs) and the lifeguards will help you. There’s also a wooden path leading into the sea.
Cala Gració’s proximity to San Antonio makes it an ideal spotif you’re looking to escape the bustling town while still being close to restaurants and amenities. Cala Gració’s soft sand, clear waters, and relaxed atmosphere make it one of Ibiza’s most charming spots for a peaceful day by the sea.
